Service and Requirements
As we return to our sanctuary for worship, please note the following information on the service and requirements on our church grounds.
Service: In consideration of those with children and time in our building, our service will still be a bit reduced. However, Pastor Ben will be looking to make the service feel as ‘full’ as possible.
Music: We will be including singing in the worship service in our second return to the building — masks must still be worn during hymns.
Offerings: There will not be a time of offering during the service. There will be a plate near the doors of the sanctuary where offerings may be dropped upon entrance or exit after the service. Offerings can also be mailed to church.
Children in Worship: There is to be no Children’s Worship or staffed nursery available at this time. All children are welcomed to be a part of our main service. Also, we will make a number of properly distanced and sanitized “cry stations” available to parents and children where they may still hear the service. The nursery will available to any parents and children who would like to use it (Parents: please place all used toys in the their proper place so that they can be sanitized after use).
Masks: In loving consideration of others and to keep all in attendance as safe as possible, masks are required at all times by all in attendance while in our church building.
Seating: All seating in the sanctuary will be marked off for proper social distancing. We ask that these distance requirements be honored by all in attendance.
Entrance and Dismissal: Our team of ushers will seat attendees for worship and will dismiss in an orderly fashion to maintain social distancing. Also, to maintain safety, there will be no coffee or refreshments after the service and all visiting is to take place outside the building. We understand that visiting with one another is a central part of our fellowship and desired by all, however, we must remain patient at this time for the health and safety of all involved.
Coats: To avoid gathering in the coatroom, we ask all in attendance to keep their coats with them.
Restrooms: All church restrooms will be available for use. Given the small space, we ask all to be mindful of distancing.
As we prepare to return to our sanctuary, remember that if you are feeling ill, believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 or other illness, or have special cause in need of quarantine (such as travel) PLEASE STAY HOME.
Sunday Morning Worship
Worship – Sundays at 10:15am
As we gather together to worship on Sundays at 10:15am, we do so in the presence of God for a time of praise, fellowship, prayer, and the study of God’s Word. Our worship is grounded in sound biblical teaching — from the pulpit to the music — that brings the people of God into life-giving and life-changing interaction with Him.
Our Sunday morning service finds a classically Reformed liturgical structure with a relaxed-traditional feel that is anchored in Christian community. So, be it jeans and a t-shirt or your Sunday best, you’ve got a place at Riverside as we sing our praises, lift our prayers, and hear from God’s Word. Oh, and expect to be warmly welcomed — whether you’re new or a founding member.
Pastor Ben seeks to preach and teach in an educational and engaging way that brings the deep truth of the Bible into our lives today for every generation. It is his hope that:
Every week, I pray that we see the beauty of the Gospel in a new way; one that challenges and strengthens us. And that every person finds their faith built up once again, that they might go out into their week assured of the promises of God and eager to live for Him.
